Inaugurating the Tiffany & Co. Foundation Jewelry Gallery, this exhibition presents jewelry from 1948 to the present, drawn from the Museum's collection of nearly 500 modern and contemporary designs, ranging from the subtle to the flamboyant, from the purely geometric to the organic, and from the narrative to the sculptural works that extend the limits of the human body.

Ancient Techniques....

Barbara Berk uses ancient Soumak weaving techniques in her jewelry. Not only did she win numerous awards, but she teaches about jewelry making at several colleges in the USA. Others use ancient Japanese goldsmithing techniques such as in the Mokume Nage rings (external link). We will soon bring a special on that technique as well.

Conceptual.....
