This is the fourth time that the Silver Art Foundation, founder of the Schoonhoven Silver Award, has organized the international design contest for silversmiths and artists. The theme of the present competition is Poetry in Silver, after Silver as Water in 2002, The Light of Silver in 2004 and A Showpiece in Silver in 2006.

The Silver Art foundation wants to call attention to contemporary silver art with new works of art from different countries. Their focus is that artists should be visible and that their works should be exhibited.
