duty. He even offered gifts and alms once he was spared the worries
and big responsibilities he shouldered during his rule. He considered
the chair that comes with it and the prestige of leadership a heavy
burden. He realized the post's requirements and the demand on his
time and energies in executing justice and the administration of the
state's affairs as a burden. How far in spirit this is from the clamour,
greed and the rush for the glorification of the office, the pride of the
high position and the allurement of the dignified prestige that one grabs
and is unwilling to let go.

questions and speculated answers of valid significance on monetary and
aesthetic values of gems, human behaviour and social order. He likewise considered justice, love and honesty in order to be shared by all
citizens for higher national dignity and honour. Through his wide experience and profound knowledge, he reflected on the following:

sociology, polity and economics emphasizing intellectual behaviour,
prosperity and civilization (al-'umran). (The author considers
building better community systems and orders to be based on good
planning).
2.    Revolt against injustices and social unrest, oppression and grievances, reasoning the causes and trying to find suitable answers,
by dealing with and consulting many peoples of all walks of life.
Appreciation of goodness and honesty against the illusions of the
grandeur and greed for power, arrogance and chauvinism.
3.    Looking at the transient values of precious gems, traditional as well
as intrinsic. Beruni attempts to reveal the spiritual, aesthetic and
moral importance of true treasures rather than as symbols of elegance, colours, adornments and the glamour and romance, and
genuinely, seeks the abiding reality). In commercial transaction,
the author proposed various avenues to lead honestly towards
better personal and group interaction and unselfish cooperation;
and to act as respectful human beings regardless of background,
career or profession for the good of the majority.
4.     Scientific, technical and artistic data for wider usages. (He applied
philosophic, etymologic and lexicographic idioms and terminologies
of a language unsurpassed in precision and rationale by all other
dialects and languages in the entire region at the time). He imparts
new meanings to expressions and patterns of unmatched elegance,
