when it has boiled. Mastagi, molten in ghee, is added at this stage to
the qiwam and is stirred till it becomes whitish. Triturated stones are
then added to it and the qiwam is stirred vigorously again. Lastly,
the musk dissolved in the aqua Pandanus odoratissimus is added to the
khaiHini which is now ready and should be preserved in chinaclay/
glass vessel.
Dosage and administration: 5 g. in the morning.
Uses and indications: (i) Cerebral and cardiac tonic, (ii) Tranquillizer, (iii) Stomachic.

Preparation: Abresham, behmen and gul gaozaban are heated in 400
ml. of water, and, when 54th of it is evaporated, they are filtered
through a cloth. The white sugar, pomegranate and apple extracts,
honey, amber and citric acid are added to this decoction till a qiwam is
obtained. The latter is taken off the fire after one boil and stirred till it
becomes whitish, after which the emerald and lapis lazuli, and later on
the gold and silver foils are added during stirring. The khamira should
be preserved in glass/chinaclay martaban.
