the fire, sieved on a clothpiece and heated with the citric acid. When
the qiwam is properly set, first ambergris, and later on, after the
formation of the qiwam, sodium benzoate, dissolved in a little water,
is added. The qiwam is made to boil, taken off the fire, and stirred till
it whitens, after which the stones and the pearls are added and stirred,
followed by the gradual addition of the gold and silver foils
accompanied by stirring, till they mix up with the khamira which is
preserved in glass/chinaclay container.
