Preparation: All the ingredients, with the exception of the oyster
shell, are ground and sieved through 100-mesh. Finely ground oyster shell is incorporated into sujuf, and stocked in glass jar. Dosage and administration: To be rubbed on teeth twice a day.

Opium (afiytin)

Preparation: The first-three ingredients are very finely ground,
sieved through cloth, and made into sufiif. This sufuf is gradually
added to the opium, ground in a mortar till both mix well. The white
of the egg is kneaded, and a shiyaf, equal to the size of a barley or
jao grain, is made.
Mode of application: One suppository, rubbed in 2-3 drops of
