Cow-dung cakes (uplas)

Preparation: The oyster shells are ground, sieved and triturated in
a little aqua Rosa damascene, 10 g. tablets are made, dried and heated
in pyrex flask or submitted to gi\ Ink mat. Afterwards, the material is
heated in the dung cakes and, when the fire is burnt out, the whitish
kuslita is taken out from the flask or the earthenware/urn, sieved and
stocked in bottle.
Dotage and administration: 60 mg. or one pill with 25 g. of cream
or butter or a suitable excipient.
('$e.< and indications: Useful in spermatorrhoea and leucorrhoea.

Preparation: (i) First of all, the gold foils are triturated in a mortar
containing mercury till the amalgam becomes butter-like.
(ii) The processed sulphur is divided into five lots,
(iii) One lot is added to the amalgam which is triturated in aqua
Rosa damascene for two days. This amalgam-sulphur mixture is divided
into 1 g. cakes.
(iv) These tablets are laid out in a flat earthen cup with a lid and
another similar but empty cup is inverted over it and submitted to
gil hihinat. On drying they are heated in a pit containing 2 kg. of the
dung cakes. When the fire cools down these cakes are taken out and
triturated and re-triturated after the addition of the second sulphur
portion in the Aloe barbadensis juice till the latter dries up completely.
Iv) This material is made up into 1 g. tablets, put in between two
earthen cups as before, submitted to gil Iiikmat and heated in 2 kg. of
the dung cakes. The third sulphur portion is now added to the material
which is triturated for one day in the aqua Rosa damascena.
