Processed sulphur (gandhak amla sar)                                     60 grams
Emblica officinalis, Terminalia belerica, and
Terminalia chebula (triphala)                                             50 grams
Heliotropium indicum extract (hathisiindi buti ka paui)            1 litre
Aloe barbadensis juice (ab ghaikwar)                                           50 ml.
Cow-dung cakes (uphis)                                                      25 kilograms
Preparation: The triphala is ground, sieved and triturated in a
mortar containing the Aloe barbadensis juice. When the juice is dried,
10 g. lozenges are made, dried and subjected to the gil liikmat process.
When dry. they are heated in a pit containing 1 0 kg. of the dung cakes.
On cooling, the cakes are removed from the urn, the sulphur is added
and the mixture is triturated in a mortar containing 250 ml. of the
Heliotropium indicum extract. 10 g. tablets are made, placed in an
earthen vessel and submitted to gil liikmat, after which they are heated
in a pit containing 5 kg. of the dung cakes. On cooling, the lozenges are
triturated in the Heliotropium indicum extract and heated in 5 kg. of
the dung cakes. This process of trituration in the Heliotropium
indicum extract and heatings is repeated two mroe times. Thus there
will be five heatings in all. After the fifth heating kiishta which is
reddish black would be ready; this is sieved and preserved in bottle.
Dosage and administration: 60 mg. or 2 tablets with 5 g. of jawarish
falinas
or daiva-id-ndsk mo'tadil jawahardar or 10 g. of honey.
Uses and indications: (i) Tonic for'general debility and anaemia.
iii) Curative for impotency (if due to anaemia), (iii) Liver stimulant.
;iv) Tonic during convalescence.

Tin (qal'ai)                                                                               250 grams
Alum (phitkiri)                                                                        125 grams
Aloe barbadensis juice (ab ghaikwar)                                         100 ml.
Cow-Dung cakes (uplas)                                                      10 kilograms
Preparation: A flat iron pan is placed on the cooker and the alum
crystals are put into it. When the alum starts melting, it is stirred and
when it turns white, it is removed and finely ground. Now, the tin is
put into the dish and, when it melts, pinches of the alum are added to
it. accompanied by vigorous stirring, till all the alum is consumed. The
half-roasted tin is now removed from the dish and triturated in the Aloe
barbadensis juice. 1 0 g. tablets of the triturated material are now made,
dried and submitted to the gil liikmat process. After the material has
dried, it is heated in 10 kg. of the dung cakes, and when the fire is
