The process is repeated the third time, and, in all, three heatings are
effected. The light pinkish kudita is then ground, sieved and stocked
in bottle.
Dosage and administration: 60 mg. or one tablet with 5 g. or
khainira marii'ariil.
L'ses ami indications: (i) Cardiac stimulant and exhilarant. (ii)
Cephalic tonic.

Aqua Rosa damascena (arq gulab)
375 ml.
Cow-dung cakes fuplasj
5 kilograms
Preparation: The agate, ground and sieved, is triturated in the
aqua Rosa damascena till the aqua is consumed. 10 g. tablets are made,
dried and submitted in a small earthen cup togil hikmat and heated in
the open in 5 kg. of the dung cakes. On cooling the kushta is ground,
sieved and kept in bottle.
Dosage ami administration: 60 mg. or one tablet with 5 g. khamira
ntarivarid.
L'ses and indications: (i) Cardiac stimulant and exhilarant. (ii)
Anodyne. (Hi) Relieves palpitations of the heart.

Recipe
Cold foil (sonay hay waraq)
1 gram
Nitric acid (taizab shorn)
5 millilitres
Hydrochloric acid (taizab namak)
3 ml.
Distilled water fab maqattar)
30 ml.
Preparation: The two acids are mixed together and kept in a clean
bottle and the gold foil is added. When the latter is dissolved, the
distilled water is added. The solution is then filtered and kept in bottle.
Dosage and administration: (i) In general debility and reduced
sexual potency, 2 drops with arq ma-ul-laham doatisha (20 ml.) to be
taken orally, (ii) In tuberculosis 2 drops with 125 ml. of arq tiara
biiara (q.v.)
