Aqua Onosma bracteatum (arq gaozaban) 100 millilitres
Preparation: The dry ingredients are ground and made into snfuj
after being sieved thorugh 80-mesh. The ground stone are also incorporated into this snfnf. The Berberis aristata is boiled in VA litre of
water, and. when it softens, the decoction is removed from the fire,
rubbed with hands and sieved. The extracts, honey and sugar are now
added to this decoction, and, when the qiwam is about to be formed,
the Sodium benzoate, dissolved in a little water, is added. When the
qin'am forms, it is removed from the fire and the sufnj is gradually
added while stirring. Last of all, first the saffron, dissolved in the
aqua Onosma bracteatum, and later the silver foil, are gradually incorporated. The mnfjareh is preserved in glass jar.
Dosage and administration: 5 g. in the morning.
L'ses and indications: (i) Cardiac stimulant, (ii) Cephalic tonic.
