Preparation: Sufuf is prepared from the 8 herbal ingredients after
grinding and sieving through 80-mesh. The Lagenaria siceraria kernel
is ground, sieved through 40-mesh, and added to the sufuf. The ground
pearls and Vateria indica are also added to the sufuf. The ground pearls

qiwarn, honey and apple extract are heated in a vessel to one boil when
the arnbar, ground to fine particles, is added to the mixture followed by
the incorporation of the Sodium benzoate, dissolved in a little water.
When the qiwarn is properly set, it is taken off the fire, and the sufuf is
gradually added to it while stirring. When the sufuf has mixed with the
qiwarn, the gold and silver foils are gradually incorporated. The
muffareh is stocked in glass jar.
Dosage and administration: 5 g. in the morning alone or witli a
suitable excipient (as aqua).
L'ses and indications: (i) Febrifuge, (ii) Exhilarant. (iii) Antipalpitant (for symptomatic relief), (iv) Antiarrythmic.
