Preparation: The first 8 herbal ingredients are made into sufuj

powder) after grinding and sieving through 80-mesh. The coral root,
Vateria indica and pearls (all in the ground state) are further incorporated into the sufuj. The Berberis aristata is first washed with water
and warmed in one litre of water. When the ingredient has softened,
trie decoction is cooled down and sieved. It is then incorporated into
the Citrus medica extract - honey — white sugar mixture which is
heated. When the qiwam is about to form, the Sodium benzoate,
dissolved in a little water, is added and the qiwam, after its appearance,
is taken off the fire. The saffron, dissolved in the aqua Onosma bracteatum, is now added to the qiwam followed by the gradual addition of
the sitfuf while stirring and, finally, of the silver foil.
Dosage and administration: 10 g. before breakfast followed by 125
ml. of aqua Daucus sativa (arq gazar) and 25 g. of sugar candy (tnisri).
L'ses and indications: (i) High quality exhilarant. (ii) Anti-palpitant
(tor symptomatic relief), (iii) Anodyne.
