Aqua Onosma bracteatum (arq gaozaban)                        40 millilitres
Preparation: The 25 herbal ingredients with elephant tusk powder
are made into sufuf after being ground and sieved through 80-mesh,
with the ground precious stones also being incorporated into the
sufuf. The white sugar qiwam and honey are heated together till they
boil. The Sodium benzoate, dissolved in a little water, is added; when
the qiwam forms, it is taken off the fire and any impurity that has
collected on the surface is scooped out. Now the saffron, dissolved in
the aqua Onosma bracteatum is added to the qiwam, followed by the
addition of the whole of the sufuf in small doses till a compatible
mixture forms, while
stirring. Last of all, the gold and silver foils arcalso added, during stirring. The muffareh is stocked in glass jar.
Dosage arid administration: 5 g. followed by 125 ml. of aqua
Caucus sativa (arq gazar) or 25 ml. of aqua Punica granatum juice
(arq anar) or alone.
