the counties of Bathurst and Wellington. It is a well watered district,
and is in some parts mountainous. The stock consists of 1,200 horses,
60,000 cattle, and 250,000 sheep.
The
preceding are the principal squatting districts of New South Wales. We
will now proceed to notice some of the principal towns which have
sprung up during the formation and progress of the colony, commencing
with the metropolis.
