Turom, July 26.—The
following particulars of the operations of a party at the Turon, and
their extraordinary success, will be read with considerable interest.
The facts were communicated to us by Mr. William Harvie, of Dapto, who
has just returned from the Turon. Mr. Harvie and ins party commenced
operations at the Turon river on the 30th of June. During the first
week they only obtained 3 oz. 16 dwt. 15 grains of gold. Their daily
gains for the next week are represented to have been as follow :
