	At the present day, these pearls,—which doubtless were of the purest and finest description,—would be worth a far larger sum than the amounts named. The prices given in the following Table are approxi­mate ones for perfectly white pure round pearls, of a smooth and lustrous skin, perfectly free from specks or discoloration of any sort.
