TALC
Talc is used principally in the paint industry while the ceramics indus­try also absorbs relatively large quantities. Other minor applications are in the. rubber, roofing paper and toilet preparations industry. In Brazil, the maia uses are in the paint and toilet preparations industries.
The leading world producer of this mineral is the United States. France and China are also important producers as is Italy. Due to the absence of complete figures as to the production of Brazil, the insertion of the output of the state of Minas Gerais in world data places Brazil as the 14th most im­portant in the world.
Manchukuo and Norway are the principal world exporters while Japan, England and the United States are the leading importers.
