BIBLIOGRAPHY OF PEARLS.
T HE following list of Works which have been consulted in the preparation of the present treatise may be useful, as forming a Bibliography of the subject of Pearls. It is not to be supposed that such a list can be complete, for, notwithstanding the vigilance of the writer in collecting, for many years, all literature within his reach, bearing upon the subject of Pearls, there are, no doubt, many writings, especially articles scattered through various journals, that have escaped his notice. At the same time he confidently believes that no work of importance is omitted from the following list.
