COLORADO.
Gold.—The mine output of gold in Colorado was valued $18,146,916 in 1913, against 118,588,562 in 1912, a decrease of $441,646.
The Cripple Creek district (Teller County) produced in 1913, or 60 per cent of the State yield, against $11,008,362 in 1912. The San Juan region, including Dolores. A little over 3 per cent of the tion was derived from lead ores, and a little more than 2 per cent from the placers. The placer yield was $408,540 in 1913, a decre of $15,345, and of this Summit County produced nearly 95 per cent from 3 dredges and 4 placers.

Lake County, whose production is principally from Leadville, yielded 3,400,318 ounces in 1913, an increase of 399,921 ounces over the output of 1912, and over 36 per cent of the total State production in 1913 Increased output of silver was reported from Boulder, Chaffee, Cleat Creek, Dolores, Eagle, Gunnison, Lake, La Plata, Mineral. Parki Pitkin, and San Juan counties in 1913, and decreased yield from Gilpin and San Miguel counties.
Of the total State yield, dry or siliceous ores furnished 6,270,758 fine ounces, or 67 per cent, lead ores 1,645,186 ounces, or 18 per cent and lead-zinc and copper-lead ores the bulk of the remainder.
IDAHO.
Gold.—The recoverable output of gold from Idaho mines in 1913 was $1,344,559, against $1,381,214 in 1912. For the first time in many years the placer production exceeded that from lode mines, and this relation is true for 1913 only in Idaho and Alaska. Gold
