A
survey of the record for the last decade shows the notably increasing
total output of Africa, chiefly from the great mines of the Rand; the
frequent fluctuations of the important contributions from the United
States and Russia; the continued decline in Australasia, arrested,
however, in 1915, chiefly by the increase noted for New Zealand; and
the fairly constant output from British India and many other countries.
