Nearly
all the siliceous ore in three of the largest gold-producing
States'—Alaska, California, and South Dakota-—yields only small values
in silver and is classed as gold ore. The siliceous ores from Colorado
include some silver and gold-silver ores, but the great bulk of the
siliceous ore is purely gold ore. The quantity of siliceous ore treated
each year in these States and the average recovery in gold per ton is
as follows:
Siliceous ore treated and gold recovered per ton of ore treated in 1918-1918.
