Gold produced in six Western States in 1916-1920—Continued.
Nearly all the siliceous ore in three of the largest gold-producing States—Alaska, California, and South Dakota—yields only small value in silver and is classed as gold ore. The siliceous ores from Colorado include some silver and gold-silver ores, but the great bulk of the siliceous ore is purely gold ore.
