This cut MUST have TOP clarity, TOP color and NO color zoning (which is very common in Amethyst), and of course, must be perfectly cut! You are looking at superior hand to eye coordination here and a true feel for the cutting process across all grains.

The gem is cross drilled using my ultrasonic drill with a 1mm hole, which is polished and then chamfered on the entrance and exit ends so that a simple gold wire may be passed through for its simple setting without chipping....no need to use adhesive with some cap covering my stone!! SIMPLY ELEGANT!
