EGL USA is one of the world's premier independent gemological laboratories. The EGL USA Group is comprised of four North American labs. EGL USA is an independent gemstone grading organization. Originally the EGL USA was a part of the European EGL which was founded in 1974. In 1986 EGL USA became independent of the European organization, and today is not affiliated with other EGL laboratories.
