American Gem Society Laboratories (USA)

The American Gem Society Laboratories is the premier diamond-grading laboratory in the world. Founded 1996, the American Gem Society Laboratories was established to fulfill a need in the industry?to provide you with a protective and definitive diamond- grading document. The American Gem Society Laboratories? diamond grading reports quantify a diamond?s beauty using a 0 to 10 grading scale created for simplicity and ease-of-use. 

Gemlab (Portugal)

Gemmological and gem testing information in Portuguese. 

GRS: Gem Research Swisslab (Switzerland)

GRS, Public Limited Company of Canton of Lucerne, Switzerland, is a gemological research company focused on the identification of gemstones from all over the world. They provide heat treatment & country of origin certificates and specialize in certifying rubies and sapphires. Amongst other things such as journals, gemstone reports, etc. their website contains interesting inclusion photos and reports of gemstones that have been sold at famous auctions. 

Gemlab Inc./Ted Themelis  (Thailand)

Gemlab was founded in 1975 by Ted Themelis. The company has experienced many phases in the gem & jewelry industry including gem trading, manufacturing of gem instruments, research & development projects, gem treatment services and fabrication of high-temperature furnaces with gem treatment installations around the globe. The company specializes in gemstone treatments and on diversified topics related to Mogok, Burma (Myanmar). 

CISGEM Milan Testing Center (Italy)

CISGEM is the Public Service for the Regulation of Gem Materials and Precious Metals. It was set up in 1966 by the Ministry of Industry as an office of the Milan Chamber of Commerce. One of the seven members of the The Laboratory Manual Harmonization Committee (LMHC) 

GAAJ: Gemmological Association of Japan (Japan)

One of the seven members of the The Laboratory Manual Harmonization Committee (LMHC). Their main GOAL is to provide the jewellery industry with professional graduates, for example, the internationally recognized ?CGJ? gemmological qualification, granted only by GAAJ in Japan. 

EGL USA:  European Gemological Laboratory (USA)

EGL USA is one of the world's premier independent gemological laboratories. For over 25 years it has offered the fine jewelry trade and consumers accurate, reliable gemstone identification and professional certification to validate their gemstone purchases. The EGL USA Group is comprised of four North American labs. EGL USA is an independent gemstone grading organization. Originally the EGL USA was a part of the European EGL which was founded in 1974. In 1986 EGL USA became independent of the European organization, and today is not affiliated with other EGL laboratories.
